FAQ's
Where can I buy Thunderpants in the UK and Europe?
Exclusively online on this website.
Should I choose hipster or original?
The two styles are exactly the same in every way except the hipster is shorter in the waist than the original. Those of us that have a bit of a tummy roll or need extra coverage in the back will want to choose the original style.
Many customers have both as the Original sits just below the belly button (higher waisted) and are great with tight or loose dresses (no seam showing at all) or with tights and leggings. The Hipster sits on your hips and are perfect for denim or any lower-waisted trousers.
Are Thunderpants a boy-leg style?
No, they are designed to sit in the natural crease of your leg, not below it.
What happens if I fall between sizes?
We make Thunderpants with a decent amount of stretch so we can accommodate all sizes and shapes. The place they can feel a little tight is in the legs, so if you feel you are built bigger though the leg definitely size up. If you like your undies snug and have leaner legs, go with the smaller size. Most of our customers are happier going up a size than down.
Are your underpants unisex?
We make 'men's' and 'women's' styles, and while they are not designed to be unisex, we have many satisfied customers who don't order along gender lines.
Do you make anything other than undies?
We have camis, crop tops, leggings, men's boxers, women's boxers and kid's all in the pipe line!
Does your fabric need any special care?
Thunderpants fabric is machine washable, but to prolong the life of your Thundies be sure to use cold wash, no bleach and line dry.
Why can I not order the size I want in some of your prints?
All of our prints are limited edition and will sell out. If a print is very popular we may reprint or cycle it back in later with a colour variation. We add everything online as soon as we can - so keep checking in and follow us on Facebook or Instagram to find out when new prints are coming.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is £4.75 flat rate per order with free shipping when you spend over £60. Shipping to Europe is £11 flat rate per order.
Are the thundies made in the UK?
We have a small amount of stock from NZ then yes, all of our Thunderpants will be manufactured in the north of England. We are looking for a local screen printer and our fabric currently comes from Australia.
How accurate is the colour reproduction of the images on your site?
We try to make the colour representation as close as possible but colours on screen can vary between computers.
Is organic cotton Fairtrade?
Organic cotton is grown from non GE plants and without the use of harmful chemicals. The fabric we import from Australia is Fair Trade certified but we have not yet undertaken the certification process to carry the Fair trade logo here at TPUK.
